Singu Chuli Peak (6501 m)

Elevation 6501 m (21,329 ft)
Location Annapurna, Nepal
Mountain Range Annapurna Himal
Climbing route snow/ice, rocks

This trek is strongly recommended for excellent mountain views. You will enjoy the great cultural diversity in the Ghandruk, Chhomorong, Ghorepani. Before entering the Fish Tail (Machapuchare Base Camp) and Annapurna Base Camp, you can enjoy the panoramic views of the world’s highest mountains. These are all peaks can be climbed with trained guide is needed. Otherwise peak permit is restricted. It is rule and regulation from Nepal Mountaineering Association. Singu Chuli formerly known as Fluted Peak is the highest amongst the “Trekking Peaks” of Nepal. Wilfred Noyce, the first man to summit this shapely mountain with David Cox compared its beauty with India’s highest and probably the most beautiful peak, Nanda Devi. This peak is situated in the Annapurna Sanctuary adjoined to Tharpu Chuli and across Hiunchuli peaks. We arrive at the base camp of Singu Chuli in spectacular six days walk up the Modi Khola gorge to the Annapurna Sanctuary. Base camp at around 4350m/14668ft and then establish two higher camps, one at 4,900m/16,000ft at the approach of North East Face and a higher one at 5,500m/18,000ft. on the North East Face of the mountain before the summit is gained. A vertical wall near the summit pose some technical challenge on this climb. This climb is suggested to only those with some alpine and ice climbing experience.

Mustang Trek

Trip duration: 15 Days
Grade: Moderate to fairly challenging
Best Time to Trek: March, April, May, June, September, October and early November.

Mustang, “The Forbidden Kingdom” is situated north of the Himalayas and juts out onto the Tibetan Plateau. The region of Mustang has more in common culturally and geographically with Tibet than it does with the rest of Nepal . A journey into Mustang is like traveling back in time for a glimpse of what Tibet might have been before the Chinese occupation. Mustang retains much of its cultural autonomy and is administered by its own King or Raja, the 25th successor of his lineage. It is no wonder why it was opened for western visitors only after 1992.This magical journey in time begins.

At present Mustang is a very popular trekking region in Nepal. The Home Ministry of Nepal announced the Opening of the restricted areas in October 1991. There is also strict control in obtaining a special permit from the Department of Immigration to protect their tradition from outside influence as well as to protect their environment. According to government rule, liaison officers should always accompany with the trekking groups. The region of the Tibetan influence, Kaligandaki, from the Tibetan border south to Kagbeni is generally referred to as “Upper Mustang”. The trek to Lo Manthang is through an almost tree-less barren landscape, a steep rocky trail up and down hill and panoramic views of Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and several other peaks make your trek memorable.

Lower Dolpo Trek

Trip duration: 25 Days
Grade: Strenuous Trek
Best Time to Trek: March to May & September to early December.

Lower Dolpo Trek is an outstanding trek in the isolated area of west Nepal where trek can also be done even in the mid monsoon as it lies in the rain shadow area formed by the Dhaulagiri & Annpurna ranges. The trek begins at the STOL airstrip of Juphal after a short flight from the terrain town of Nepalgunj which is well connected by both road and air from Kathmandu.
Trekking in the Dolpo region has it’s own charm , people here still leads a primitive life, yet they are friendly. This is also one of few areas where pre-Buddhist Bon Po religion is still practiced. The trail goes over three high passes, the Kagmara La [5115m], Baga La [5090m] and Numa La [5360m] passing the deep-blue tranquil Phoksumdo Lake and finally concludes at Juphal descending the gorge-side path of Tarap Khola.
