Muztagh Ata Xinjiang China

Muztagh Ata Expedition Program (7,546 m)

Chinese Pamir | Xinjiang, PRC

Overview

Muztagh Ata (7,546 m) is one of the most iconic high-altitude peaks of the Pamir range, located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China. Thanks to its broad glaciated western flank, relatively moderate technical difficulty, and generally dry continental climate, Muztagh Ata is considered one of the most accessible mountains above 7,000 meters.

In recent years, the mountain has become a premier destination not only for classic high-altitude climbers but also for ski mountaineers seeking long, aesthetic descents from extreme altitude.

Asia Outdoor Club invites you to join a professionally organized expedition to Muztagh Ata, combining a well-tested acclimatization strategy, experienced local support, and a classic alpine-style ascent profile.

Important: Expedition bookings must be finalized no later than 90 days prior to departure due to permit and visa processing requirements.
