Kathmandu is the capital city of the country Nepal covering an area of 50 sq km. The average altitude of the city is 1,350 meters above the sea level. According to the census of 2011, the city holds a population of 1,740,977. The city was previously called Kantipur and Kasthamandap. This place is the country’s most developed as well as urbanized area. The country holds centralization here. Other developed areas inside the valley around Kathmandu are Kirtipur, Bhaktapur and Patan.

The Changunarayan temple at the top of a hill in the Kathmandu City is known to be an ancient holy temple. This place is also a home to a number of Museums and Art Galleries including the National Museum of Nepal.

Kathmandu valley tour Itinerary:
Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel. Rest day in Kathmandu. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 02: Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley [1,338m/4,389ft]. Back to hotel and overnight stay
Day 03: Drive from hotel to Bhaktapur [1,348m/4,423ft] and visit Bhaktapur Durbar square and then drive to Changunarayan [1,500m/4,921ft] to visit historic temples and the proved evidence of Nepal. Lunch at Katunje resort in Bhaktapur. Then drive to Khokana [1,368m/4,488ft] and further to Bungamati [1,393m/4,570ft]. Lunch at Patan [1,310m/4,297ft] and visit Patan Durbar Square. In the evening back to Kathmandu and stay overnight at hotel
Day 04: 1 hour Mountain flights in the morning to enjoy close views of all significant mountains including Mt. Everest. In the afternoon free time for shopping. Farewell dinner along with a cultural show in the evening. Hotel overnight
